PHOENIX (Reuters) - Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash will have his NBA playoff grit tested again after requiring minor surgery on Monday for a broken nose, the team said in a statement.

The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of the Suns' win over the Lakers in Sunday's Game Three of their Western Conference Finals. Los Angeles leads the best-of-seven series 2-1 with Phoenix hosting Game Four on Tuesday.

The point guard was diagnosed with a minimally displaced nasal fracture with displaced cartilage and was having his nose put back in place, the team said.

Nash, who helped the Suns complete a four-game sweep of the San Antonio Spurs in the previous round despite taking an inadvertent elbow from Tim Duncan that had his right eye swollen shut, is not expected to miss any playing time.
