Remember a couple weeks ago when we told you about NASCAR drivers Daniel Hemric and Kenzie Ruston getting engaged?

Well, in Friday's NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race at Watkins Glen International, the two lovebirds shared a racetrack for the first time since Hemric popped the question during a weekend getaway on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.

While this wasn't the first time Hemric and Ruston have raced against each other, it was their first race together as an engaged couple, and for that reason is one they'll likely remember for a long time.

So how'd they do?

Hemric, a Camping World Truck Series regular who makes occasional K&N starts, finished on the lead lap in 10th. Ruston, a K&N regular, finished four laps down in 18th after retiring from the race with suspension problems.

While it wasn't the kind of outing the future husband and wife wanted, at least they were doing what they love -- together.
