Aaric Murray scored 25 points with four rebounds, three steals and two blocks to lead Texas Southern to a 74-71 victory over Grambling State on Saturday night.

Madarious Gibbs added 19 points, six rebounds and seven assists for the Tigers (10-13, 6-5, Southwestern Athletic Conference). Jose Rodriguez scored 12 points and Lawrence Johnson-Danner came off the bench to add 10.

Texas Southern hit 47.4 percent from the field and 63.6 percent from the line and accounted for 10 of Grambling State's 15 turnovers during the contest.

The high scorer for Grambling State was Antwan Scott with 18 points, six rebounds and six assists. Scott led five Grambling State players in perfect shooting from the line as the team hit 11 of 11 of its free throws. It also outrebounded Texas Southern 34-29.
