Frankfurt, Germany – Henrik Mkhitaryan scored a goal in each half to lead Borussia Dortmund to a 2-1 win at Eintracht on Sunday, giving Dortmund four wins from four games in the Bundesliga this season.
Mkhitaryan got Dortmund off the mark 10 minutes into the match when he took a pass from Jakub Blaszczykowski near the penalty spot and deposited the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
The home side responded 10 minutes before halftime to level the match when Stefan Aigner's header hit the post, but was followed up and slammed home by Vaclav Kadlec on the rebound.
Dortmund was bidding to become the only team in the league to win its first four games, and Mkhitaryan made it happen with his second goal of the contest in the 56th minute.
Kevin Grosskreutz picked out the midfielder and he did the rest by driving a left-footed shot inside the left post.
While Dortmund has gotten off to a flying start this term, Stuttgart entered the weekend having lost its first three games.
But that changed on Sunday as Vedad Ibisevic scored a hat trick and Alexandru Maxim added two goals of his own to give the club an emphatic 6-2 home win against Hoffenheim.
