Miura defeats Thompson to retain WBC super featherweight title

Cancun, Mexico – Takashi Miura defeated Sergio Thompson in a unanimous decision on Saturday to retain his WBC super featherweight title on Saturday.

Miura (26-2-2 19 KO) knocked down Thompson (31-3-0 29 KO) in the second and sixth rounds.

The judges scored the fight 113-112, 114-110 and 114-111.
