Greg McGhee threw for 216 yards and a touchdown and ran for three more scores, leading Howard to a 28-25 comeback victory over Central Connecticut State on Saturday.

McGhee also led all rushers with 119 yards for the Bison (4-7). His three running touchdowns came in the second half with Howard trailing 25-7. William Parker added 93 yards on 18 carries.

A 17-yard scoring strike from McGhee to Stewart Hartman early in the first quarter put Howard on the board first. But Central Connecticut's Nick SanGiacomo came right back with a 71-yard touchdown pass followed by two Ed Groth field goals and another SanGiacomo TD pass to give the Blue Devils (2-9) a 19-7 halftime lead.

A third SanGiacomo scoring pass early in the third extended the CCSU lead to 25-7.

But the Bison were not finished, as McGhee ran for three straight second-half touchdowns for the win.
