McDermott paces Creighton over Houston Baptist

Omaha, NE – Doug McDermott scored a game-high 25 points and 62 thrashing of Houston Baptist on Saturday night.

Gregory Echenique netted 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to go with four blocks, while Ethan Wragge added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Bluejays (9-1), who bounced back from an 80-71 defeat at the hands of Saint Joseph's last Saturday.

Art Bernardi paced the Huskies (4-8) with 16 points, while Anthony Hill added 14 points on 5-of-8 from the floor. Houston Baptist had its two-game winning streak halted.
