DALLAS – Dallas owner Mark Cuban says he is disappointed with how Derek Fisher left the Mavericks, only to eventually end up signing up the Oklahoma City last month.
Fisher is facing the Mavericks for the first time Sunday since he asked to the team to waive him in December. The 17th-year guard played nine games with Dallas before he asked to be released because he was having a difficult time being away from his family in Los Angeles.
Fisher signed with the Thunder on Feb. 25, a little more than two months after the Mavericks granted Fisher's request.
Cuban says Fisher called him multiple times asking for advice and pitched the owner for a job before the team signed him Nov. 29.
