Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Seattle Mariners traded outfielder Michael Saunders to the Toronto Blue Jays for left-handed pitcher J.A. Happ on Wednesday.

Saunders, who has battled injuries over the past three seasons, hit .273 with eight homers and 34 RBI this past season over 78 games. The Mariners had been looking to move the 28-year-old since the end of the year after he took offense to remarks made by general manager Jack Zduriencik.

The 32-year-old Happ went 11-11 with a 4.22 ERA over 28 starts for Toronto in 2014.
