The Seattle Mariners selected the contract of catcher Jesus Sucre from Triple-A Tacoma Friday and designated infielder Robert Andino for assignment.

Sucre hit .302 with one double and five runs batted in over 14 games at Tacoma this season, his ninth in the minor leagues.

The 25-year-old catcher signed a minor-league deal with the Mariners on July 11, 2011 and re-signed with the club after the 2012 campaign.

Andino batted just .184 with four doubles and four RBI over 29 games, including 22 starts, with the M's this season.

Seattle also recalled infielder Carlos Triunfel from Tacoma on Friday. Triunfel hit .300 with 29 runs scored and 19 RBI in 44 games with the Rainiers this season.

The 23-year-old infielder appeared in 10 games with the M's in 2012 and batted .227 with three RBI and two doubles.
