Marcus Mariota's lack of red flags was an NFL red flag, Oregon coach said

According to Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich, both an NFL GM and a head coach told him that "Marcus Mariota not having any red flags was a red flag."

Excuse me?

In an interview with ESPN's Brett McMurphy, Helfrich revealed that prior to the NFL Draft, team personnel were concerned about the Ducks' 2014 Heisman-winning QB because his lack of issues on and off the field.

Good to see his "red flags" didn't have much of an impact on his draft stock. Mariota was selected No. 2 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans.
