Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini says Mario Balotelli will not be punished for their training ground altercation, and still has a future with the Premier League champions.

In the latest chapter of Balotelli's volatile City career, numerous media outlets carried pictures Thursday of Mancini grabbing the Italy striker's training bib before the pair had to be separated.

Mancini insists "there was no fight" and only lost his temper because his compatriot "didn't want to leave the pitch."

When asked if Balotelli would face any discipline, Mancini said: "No, no ... this is something that can happen."

Balotelli has rarely been out of the headlines since joining City from Inter Milan in 2010.

Dismissing suggestions Balotelli could be sold, Mancini says he "will give him another 100 chances."
