(SportsNetwork.com) - The Tampa Bay Lightning eye a big rebound effort on Sunday night as they continue their road trip with a matchup against the Ottawa Senators.
The Lightning had a four-game winning streak halted in a big way on Friday, falling 6-3 to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Goaltender Ben Bishop did not make it out of the first period, allowing three goals on 10 shots before getting pulled at the 13:39 mark.
Evgeni Nabokov yielded a pair of goals on 18 shots in relief.
"You can't give a team like that a three-goal lead and expect to win," said Lightning captain Steven Stamkos.
Brian Boyle, Victor Hedman and Alex Killorn scored for Tampa Bay, which plays the third contest of a four-game swing tonight having lost six of its past eight on the road.
Bishop, meanwhile, will likely get a chance to get back on track tonight given he is an excellent 5-0-2 lifetime versus his former Senators club with a 2.34 goals against average and .925 save percentage in eight meetings.
Ottawa looks to secure a third victory in a row after topping the Boston Bruins 3-2 in overtime on Saturday afternoon. Craig Anderson made 26 saves and Bobby Ryan scored the winner 44 seconds into the bonus frame, putting home a pass from defenseman Erik Karlsson.
"They got a bounce on their second goal and we got a bounce on ours. We'll take it," Anderson said.
Mike Hoffman and Kyle Turris scored in regulation for the Senators, who had lost three in a row prior to consecutive wins and improved to 5-3-2 under head coach Dave Cameron.
Cameron is expected to give Robin Lehner his first start in net since Dec. 20 tonight. Lehner is 3-3-0 with a 3.27 GAA and .896 save percentage in six career starts versus the Bolts.
The Senators and Lightning split a pair of meetings in Tampa earlier this season, but Ottawa has taken nine of the last 11 encounters at home.
