Shenzhen, China (SportsNetwork.com) - Top seed Li Na captured her second- straight Shenzhen open with a 6-4, 7-5 win over fifth-seeded Peng Shuai in a hardcourt tune-up for the Australian Open.
With the victory, Li leads Peng 6-1, including a 5-0 mark on Chinese soil, in their all-time series.
The world No. 3 former French Open champion Li won last year's inaugural Shenzhen title by beating Czech Klara Zakopalova in the finale.
Li ousted eight-seeded German Annika Beck, 6-1, 6-3 to reach the finals and Peng Shuai reached the final after American Vania King pulled out of the semis with a right thigh injury.
Li takes home $111,163 with the win.
