Mexico City, Mexico (SportsNetwork.com) - Leon secured its first win of the Liga MX campaign by notching a 3-1 triumph at UNAM behind first-half goals from Mauro Boselli and Miguel Sabah.

Boselli and Sabah handed Leon a 2-0 halftime lead before Eduardo Herrera reduced UNAM's deficit to 2-1 with 15 minutes to play.

However, Martin Bravo restored the two-goal advantage within two minutes, allowing Leon to take home all three points and move off the bottom of the league table.

Boselli got things going midway through the opening half when he latched on to a through ball from Fernando Navarro and dispatched his shot just under the crossbar.

Sabah doubled the lead in the 38th as he got up to head home a corner kick from Elias Hernandez, while Leon remained in control of the match until the 75th when Herrera found the bottom right corner of the net from 10 yards to make it 2-1.

But any hope UNAM had of a comeback was quickly extinguished by Bravo as he got into a good position eight yards from goal to finish off a pass from Jose Maria Cardenas.

Cruz Azul moved to the top of the league after notching a 1-0 home win against Monterrey thanks to a goal in the 22nd minute from Christian Gimenez, while Tijuana dropped to second place after a 2-2 draw at Jaguares with Tijuana scoring the equalizer in the 78th minute through Richard Toledo.

Atlas remained in the top three following a 2-0 win at Leones Negros that saw Aldo Ramirez and Enrique Herrera score on either side of halftime, Pablo Aguilar's goal 20 minutes from time helped America earn a 2-2 draw at Morelia, Veracruz and Queretaro traded goals in the final six minutes of a 1-1 draw, Djaniny's second-half goal was the difference as Santos topped Guadalajara, 1-0, Tigres edged Puebla, 1-0, and Toluca finished 1-1 with Pachuca as Wilder Guisao's goal in the 70th minute for Toluca canceled out a third-minute goal from Erick Gutierrez.
