Birmingham, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Aston Villa revealed on Friday that striker Libor Kozak will miss the remainder of the season after breaking his leg in training.
The 24-year-old joined Villa over the summer from Lazio in a deal that cost the Villains $11 million, but a statement on the club's website confirmed that the Czech Republic international will not play again this term.
"The club can confirm that Libor Kozak suffered a broken leg today in training," a statement on Villa's website said. "He will undergo surgery and, regretfully, he will play no further part this season."
Kozak netted four goals in 15 games for Villa in his first season before having his year cut short by the injury.
