Dortmund, Germany – Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp signed a contract extension on Monday that ties him to the club until 2016.
Klopp's previous deal was set to expire in 2014, but the club has rewarded him for leading Dortmund to the Bundesliga title last season, with the team tied atop the league along with Bayern Munich and Schalke this campaign.
The club's director of sport, Michael Zorc, also received a new contract which runs until 2016.
Klopp took over at Dortmund in 2008 after seven seasons at Mainz, and guided the club to the Europa League in his second year in charge.
The boss then helped Dortmund win its first Bundesliga title since 2002 last term.
