Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Los Angeles Kings left wing Tanner Pearson broke a bone in his left leg Saturday and will miss an unspecified amount of time.

Pearson crashed hard into the boards during the second period of Saturday's shootout loss to Winnipeg and did not return.

The rookie was named one of six first-year players to participate in the skills competition during All-Star Weekend.

Pearson, 22, has 12 goals and four assists in 42 games this season.

To make matters worse for Los Angeles, second-year center Tyler Toffoli will also miss time after being diagnosed with mononucleosis.

Toffoli has 12 goals and 15 assists on the season.
