Marcus Keene scored 21 points, Bobby Hain chipped in 15 and Youngstown State rolled past Division III Thiel 70-45 on Sunday.

The Penguins (7-4) shot 37.7 percent from the field and scored 20 points off turnovers. Sidney Umude had 10 points with seven rebounds and DJ Cole scored nine points for Youngstown State. Keene hit four 3-pointers, grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists.

Thiel was held to 18 of 58 from the field for 31 percent and went 7 of 20 from the line. Khari Bess led the Tomcats with 13 points, Charlie Thomas added 10 and Eric Mallinger contributed eight with 10 boards.

Cole had all nine of his points during an 18-3 run that helped Youngstown State build a comfortable lead in the first half. The Penguins led by 14 at halftime and opened the second half with a 23-9 surge to pull away even further.
