Japanese J. League champion Kashiwa Reysol 0 victory over Australian side Auckland City at Toyota Stadium on Thursday.

Junya Tanaka and Masato Kudo scored in a 4-minute stretch of the first half as the recently crowned Japanese champions advanced to the quarterfinals.

Kashiwa Reysol will meet Mexican club Monterrey on Sunday at Toyota Stadium, a fixture that follows African side Esperance playing Qatar club Al-Sadd in the other quarterfinal at the same venue.

Barcelona awaits the winner of the Esperance/Al-Sadd game, while Santos awaits the winner of the Kashiwa/Monterrey match in the semifinals.
