Juventus missed out on a chance to return to 0 draw at Parma.

Juve's weekend match with Bologna was postponed because of poor weather, which allowed AC Milan to take over the top spot in the league with a 2-1 win over Udinese.

But Antonio Conte's men were unable to find the back of the net despite enjoying the better of the chances and they are still one point back of the Rossoneri, albeit with a game in hand.

The opening goal almost arrived in the fourth minute when Juve's Giorgio Chiellini headed an Andrea Pirlo free kick against the post.

Parma goalkeeper Nicola Pavarini produced a great save to deny Mirko Vucinic at close range in the second half before he preserved a point for the hosts by keeping out efforts from Pirlo and Emanuele Giaccherini in the last 15 minutes.

Atalanta 1, Genoa 0

Bergamo, Italy - Atalanta climbed nine points above the drop zone on Wednesday after Guido Marilungo's goal 12 minutes from time handed the hosts a 1-0 win over Genoa.

Atalanta had lost four of its previous six games but was able to snatch all three points after German Denis picked out Marilungo inside the penalty area and the striker finished the play off by beating goalkeeper Sebastien Frey from 14 yards.

Genoa never really managed to trouble Andrea Consigli in the Atalanta goal and has now lost its last two games to remain in the middle of the table.
