Cameron Jones had 156 yards passing and Adam Morgan threw for 120 more as Virginia Military Institute routed Lock Haven 48-6 on Saturday.

The Keydets finished with 304 yards passing from three different quarterbacks against the Division II foe. It was 163 more than VMI's highest passing total in a game last season — 141 against Richmond.

Morgan threw for two touchdowns, the first going three yards to T.J. Talley, and the second a 46-yard throw to Gabe Itoka with 8:49 left for the last score of the game.

Itoka had 90 yards on three catches in the Keydets sixth straight season opening victory.

Lock Haven finished with 194 yards with just 69 coming in the second half. The Bald Eagles, who were 5 of 16 in third down conversions, managed just five first downs in the last two quarters.

Jarryd Burkett threw for 100 yards and a TD for Lock Haven.
