FLORHAM PARK, N.J. – New York Jets wide receiver Jeremy Kerley has a concussion, and could miss the team's game against the Patriots at New England on Thursday night.
The Jets announced Monday that Kerley passed the NFL's concussion protocol after taking a hard hit from Tampa Bay's Mark Barron late in the second quarter of New York's 18-17 victory Sunday. Kerley's helmet popped off during the hit, and Barron was assessed a 15-yard personal foul penalty.
Kerley again passed the concussion tests after the game, but exhibited concussionlike symptoms when he arrived at the team's facility Monday morning. He went through a third concussion test and was held out of the team's walkthrough as a precaution.
Center Nick Mangold (right arm) and wide receiver Santonio Holmes (left foot) were among those limited Monday.
