The Winnipeg Jets have agreed to terms with veteran center Kyle Wellwood.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Winnipeg Free Press reported it to be worth $700,000 for one year.

The 28-year-old Windsor, Ontario native has played for Toronto, Vancouver and San Jose during his NHL career. In 373 career games, Wellwood has tallied 68 goals and 105 assists for 173 points.

Wellwood has also recorded four goals and 16 assists in 40 playoff games. He notched a goal and six assists in 18 games for the Sharks last spring.

The Maple Leafs originally selected Wellwood in the fifth round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
