Jemez extends Rayo Vallecano stay

Madrid, Spain – Paco Jemez has agreed to a new two-year contract to stay on as Rayo Vallecano manager, the La Liga club announced Thursday.

Rayo enters the final round of the La Liga season in eighth place, three points shy of a Europa League qualification spot.

Jemez can add to his impressive stint at the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas by helping the club nail down a spot in Europe for next season, which can be achieved with a victory over Athletic Bilbao and a Real Betis loss at Levante on Sunday.
