The Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday released veteran punter Matt Turk, replacing him with free agent Nick Harris.

Turk, 43, averaged 39.7 yards on 27 punts this season, his first with the Jaguars.

Harris had played for the Detroit Lions since 2003 and holds club records for punts (627) and yards (27,074).

For his career, the 33-year-old Harris has averaged 42.5 yards per punt. The California product also played for Cincinnati.

Additionally, the Jaguars waived tight end Brett Brackett from the practice squad.
