Inter ends Juve's 49-match unbeaten streak

Juventus saw its 49-match Serie A unbeaten run ended Saturday as Diego Milito scored a brace to lead Inter Milan to a 3-1 win at Juventus Stadium.

Juve last lost in the next-to-last match of the 2010-11 season, as it finished first in Serie A last season without a loss through 38 matches. Juve continued its run through the first 10 matches this season.

Arturo Vidal had the Turin side on track to extend their streak as he scored for Juve just 19 seconds into the match against Inter, but Milito leveled from the spot in the 59th and followed with the match-winner in the 75th.

Rodrigo Palacio added an insurance goal one minute from time, as Inter climbed to within one point of Juve for first in second place.

Juve surprised Inter off the kick off, as Kwadwo Asamoah delivered a pass from the left that Vidal just had to slot home at the far post to cap a fast attack that put the hosts in front.

The cushion held until just before the hour mark, when Inter won a penalty and Milito drove the spot kick past Gianluigi Buffon.

Milito added his second goal 15 minutes from time when he slammed a rebound in from close range and Palacio slipped a shot off the hand of Buffon in the last minute of normal time to seal the win.
