The Colts agreed to contract terms Tuesday with free agent defensive end Arthur Jones.

Indianapolis officials made the announcement less than an hour after the free agent market officially open. Terms of the deal were not immediately available.

The 6-foot-3, 315-pound Jones started a career-best 13 games with Baltimore last season and finished with a career-high 53 tackles. He was Baltimore's fifth-round pick in the 2010 draft and spent his first two seasons with the Ravens when Colts coach Chuck Pagano was on the coaching staff.

Colts general manger Ryan Grigson issued a statement calling Jones an "outstanding producer" against the run and the pass.

It's the second major signing of the day for Indy. The Colts re-signed kicker Adam Vinatieri to a two-year deal Tuesday morning.
