Hurricanes activate Semin off IR

Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Carolina Hurricanes activated forward Alexander Semin off injured reserve on Saturday.

Semin missed the Hurricanes' last five games due to a lower-body injury.

The 30-year-old has tallied just one goal and five assists through 21 games this season, his third with the Hurricanes.

Carolina also assigned forward Justin Shugg to Charlotte (AHL).
