Huntelaar helps Schalke pull even with Bayern

Berlin, Germany – Klaas-Jan Huntelaar moved into first place 1 win over Hertha Berlin at Olympic Stadium.

Huntelaar scored his 14th goal of the season after 19 minutes, breaking a tie with Bayern's Mario Gomez, and Teemu Pukki added the decisive goal in the 44th minute.

Schalke won for the third time in its last four league matches, and moved even on 31 points with Bayern. Schalke trails Bayern by 18 goals in differential.

Gustavo Ramos scored in the 25th minute for Hertha Berlin, which is winless in five games. Hertha remained ninth in the standings.
