Norwich, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Norwich City has sacked manager Chris Hughton after back-to-back Premier League defeats left the Canaries in a relegation battle.
Saturday's 1-0 home loss to fellow strugglers West Bromwich Albion proved the final straw as the Norwich board relived Hughton and his staff of their coaching duties.
"Norwich City can confirm Chris Hughton, Colin Calderwood and Paul Trollope have parted company with the club with immediate effect - and former Canary winger and FA Youth Cup-winning coach Neil Adams has been appointed as first team manager," read a statement on Norwich's official website.
The Canaries will travel to 18th-placed Fulham on Saturday for a match with massive relegation implications. They will finish the campaign with matches against Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
