LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (AP) Steven Holcomb of the U.S. continued his bobsled dominance at Mount Van Hoevenberg on Friday, winning a two-man World Cup race on his home track.

Holcomb teamed with Sam McGuffie to finish in 1 minute, 49.47 seconds. Canada took silver and bronze, with the team of World Cup points leader Justin Kripps and Jesse Lumsden finishing in 1:49.74, 0.01 ahead of Chris Spring and Lascelles Brown.

It was the sixth time Holcomb won gold out of the last seven international two-man races in Lake Placid, with one of those victories coming in the 2012 world championships. The other five wins have been in World Cups.

The women's bobsled race was also going on Friday, and the four-man race will be Saturday.
