MIAMI (Reuters) - The Miami Heat have traded guard Chris Quinn and a 2012 second round draft pick to the New Jersey Nets in exchange for a 2010 conditional second round draft pick, the NBA team said on Tuesday.

Quinn, who joined the Heat in 2006 as an undrafted free agent, has not appeared this season for Miami but has played in 168 games with 26 starts with the Florida team.

"There has never been a better person that has played for the Miami Heat than Chris Quinn," said Heat president Pat Riley. "He is one of the hardest working, most dedicated people that we've ever experienced. We want to wish Chris nothing but the very best as he moves on in his career."
