The Miami Heat held three-time scoring champion Kevin Durant to just six points and led the Oklahoma City Thunder 55-43 at halftime in Game Two of the NBA Finals on Thursday.
Miami raced to an 18-2 lead during the game's opening seven minutes, taking advantage of Oklahoma City's one-for-12 shooting, three turnovers and complete disarray on offense.
The lead grew to 25-8 before the Thunder, paced by reserve James Harden's 17 points, trimmed the deficit to 37-29. But the Heat, led by LeBron James's 14 points and Dwyane Wade's 13, withstood the rally.
Oklahoma City won the opening game 105-94 on Tuesday. The best-of-seven series shifts to Miami for Game Three on Sunday night.
