Martin Hanzal scored three straight goals — including two only 9 seconds apart — and Devan Dubnyk made 35 saves in Arizona's first shutout of the season as the Coyotes routed the Vancouver Canucks 5-0 on Friday night.

Shane Doan and Keith Yandle, on a power play in the final three minutes, also had goals for Arizona (7-9-1).

The Coyotes, who entered last in the Western Conference and 28th overall in the NHL, ended their three-game losing streak. Dave Tippett earned his 200th career coaching win.

The Canucks (12-6) lost for only the third time in 11 games. Ryan Miller allowed four goals on 13 shots in the first two periods.

Arizona scored the only goal in the first period despite being outshot 12-3.
