Abdellaoue's penalty followed a questionable foul on Philipp Lahm, and minutes later, Bayern's Jerome Boateng was sent off following a scrum on the sideline. Pander notched Hannover's second goal 5 minutes after halftime on a fortuitous bounce off Luiz Gustavo, who slipped back into central defense for Boateng.
Although Bayern pulled a goal back after Hannover's Steve Cherundolo was sent off when David Alaba scored in the 83rd, Bastian Schweinsteiger was denied by the post as Bayern lost in the Bundesliga for the first time since Week 1.
Bayern was unbeaten in eight straight Bundesliga games and 13 overall, having allowed just an own goal during that stretch, but Cherundolo won a penalty for Hannover when he got his leg caught on Lahm, who was just standing behind him.
Abdellaoue converted to the lower left to end Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer's shutout streak at the third longest in league history, and the sending off of Boateng put the hosts in complete control.
Pander was still lucky to add to the lead after half, as his shot that seemed well off target to the right took a deflection off Gustavo, bounced inside the 6-yard box and spun back inside the left post with Neuer stranded.
Hannover maintained its undefeated home record with its fourth win against two draws this season, although Bayern took the game to the final whistle.
Alaba, a second-half substitute, ran onto a pass from Lahm and tucked the ball inside the left post with 7 minutes remaining and Bayern poured the pressure on, but Schweinsteiger's shot off the right post in the 88th was the closest it came to tying the match.

Schalke won for the third time in its last four, and climbed to 18 points, one back of second-place Borussia Dortmund and four behind leader Bayern Munich.
Leverkusen lost for the third time in its last five league games, and has just one win in that stretch. Leverkusen has 14 points from 10 games.
