Hamburg winger Romeo Castelen suffered an adductor injury in a friendly against Oststeinbek on Saturday and will be out three to four weeks, the club announced Tuesday.

Castelen, 28, partially tore the adductor muscle and will now be sidelined for another spell. He had spent most of the last two years sidelined after a pair of knee operations, but had made two appearances off the bench this season.

The former Netherlands international, who made 10 appearances for his country from 2004-07, has played just 16 matches for Hamburg since transferring from Feyenoord in 2007.
