Gunners rally from two down to beat Spurs, 5-2

London, England – Bacary Sagna and Robin van Persie scored in minute stretch late in the first half, helping Arsenal erase an early two- 2 win Sunday over Tottenham at Emirates.

Louis Saha and Emmanuel Adebayor scored inside 34 minutes as Spurs gained the early edge in the North London derby, but Sagna bagged his first of the season in the 40th and Van Persie added his EPL-leading 23rd goal in the 43rd.

Tomas Rosicky followed with his first of the season 6 minutes after half, then Theo Walcott scored a brace in a 3-minute stretch midway through the second as Arsenal sealed a needed win.

The Gunners were hammered by AC Milan, 4-0, to leave their Champions League in doubt over a week ago, and then were eliminated from the FA Cup by Sunderland following a 2-0 loss last weekend.

With the win over Tottenham, Arsenal has rejoined the top four in the table as it moved ahead of Chelsea on goal differential. Spurs remained third, but fell eight points behind second-place Manchester United and just seven in front of both Tottenham and Chelsea.

Saha's goal inside 4 minutes set the tone for Tottenham, which added a second goal through Adebayor from the penalty spot after the half-hour mark.

Sagna pulled the first goal back with a header from the middle of the area to the left post and Van Persie followed with a shot from just outside the top of the area that he curled inside the left post.

Rosicky highlighted his impressive performance with the go-ahead goal, turning a low pass from Sagna inside the near post for what turned out to be the game- winner early in the second half.

Walcott capped the memorable comeback with two quick goals, the first a little chip over Tottenham goalie Brad Friedel in the 65th and the second a breakaway finish from the right side to the lower left in the 68th.

Spurs had Scott Parker sent off late in the game, just adding to its misery as it let Chelsea and Arsenal both inch closer to third and direct qualification for the Champions League next season.

Manchester United 2, Norwich City 1

Norwich, England - Ryan Giggs saved Manchester on Sunday at Carrow Road with a goal in the 92nd minute, giving his side to a 2-1 victory over Norwich City in the English Premier League.

United's Paul Scholes scored the opener after just 6 minutes, but Norwich City pulled level on Grant Holt's 10th goal of the season just 8 minutes from time.

Giggs rescued a win, and kept United within two points of Manchester City in the standings, when he reached a cross from Ashley Young at the right post and tucked a shot through Norwich goalie John Ruddy's legs from close range.

Scholes bagged his second goal since coming out of retirement when he reached a cross from Nani at the far post and nodded the ball inside the net to give United the early lead.

Norwich finally answered when Holt made a fast turn just inside the top of the area to beat United goalkeeper David De Gea, who played well until that point to preserve the early lead.

Giggs spoiled Holt's goal in the dying seconds, sending United back within two points of City and now eight points clear of third-place Tottenham.

Norwich lost for the fourth time at home and sits eighth, 11 points shy of the European places, but also well clear of the relegation zone.

Stoke City 2, Swansea City 0

Stoke-on-Trent, England - Matthew Upson and Peter Crouch scored in the opening half as Stoke City downed Swansea City, 2-0, on Sunday at Britannia Stadium in the English Premier League.

Upson opened the scoring in the 25th minute when he turned a pass from Matthew Etherington into the bottom-right corner and Crouch headed home Ryan Shotton's pass in the 39th to double the lead.

Stoke City climbed to 12th in the table and 12 points clear of the relegation zone. Swansea lost for the eighth time on the road in 13 matches, and sits in 14th and nine points from danger.
