The folks at Guinness World Records have a final attendance figure for last month's outdoor hockey game at Michigan Stadium.

Guinness records manager Mike Janela says 104,173 showed up for the game between Michigan and Michigan State on Dec. 11, which easily broke the previous world attendance record for a hockey game of 77,803.

At the time, Michigan announced the attendance as 113,411, a stadium record for any sporting event.

Janela says his organization's figure doesn't count people such as concession workers, maintenance crews and members of the media, which may help account for the discrepancy between the Guinness number and the school's.
