Grizzlies' Davis fined

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Memphis Grizzlies forward Ed Davis has been fined $15,000 for making excessive and unnecessary contact with Houston Rockets forward Donatas Motiejunas.

Davis was assessed a Flagrant Foul 2 and ejected with 8:42 remaining in the fourth quarter of Friday's 92-73 preseason loss to the Rockets.

The NBA regular season kicks off Tuesday.
