Oregon has hired Kelly Graves of Gonzaga as its women's basketball coach.

Graves has taken Gonzaga to six straight NCAA tournaments and three trips to the round of 16. He replaces Paul Westhead, whose contract was not renewed.

Oregon says Graves signed a seven-year contract. The 51-year-old coach was in the midst of a 10-year contract at Gonzaga.

Westhead also coached in the NBA and WNBA and is a proponent of high-scoring offenses. He went 317-176 in 14 years at Gonzaga, making seven NCAA tournament appearances. The Bulldogs advanced to the Elite Eight in 2011 and were a No. 6 seed this season, the highest in school history.

The Bulldogs had an average home attendance of 5,426 this season, among the top 20 nationally.
