New Houston Astro Carlos Gomez played in his first series with his new club over the weekend, and things went pretty well. The Astros took two of three from the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks and bumped up their division lead to four games over the Los Angeles Angels entering play Monday.

As for Gomez, he went 3-5 on Saturday, 1-4 with 2 RBIs on Sunday and was able to experience firsthand the post-win phenomenon known as 'Club Astro' two times.

When asked his thoughts on his teammates' celebratory nightclub atmosphere in the clubhouse after Sunday's win, Gomez told MLB.com's Chandler Rome that, "I'm fine anywhere, but I love here. Those guys make me feel sexy."

Let that quote represent Gomez's comfort level with his new team, as he seems to have acclimated to his new surroundings quite well. As with any trade, Gomez told Rome that once the initial awkwardness wore off, he began to feel at home: "I feel more like an Astro now. My first game coming to the plate from this side, I felt weird. Now I'm feeling better coming here, getting to know a little about everybody. I know pretty much everything and the team and I just prepare to play. My first three games, we win the series, so we got off to the right way."

So far, so good for the Astros and their new star outfielder.
