East Rutherford, NJ – New York Giants wide receiver Ramses Barden won't practice on Wednesday due to a concussion, according to Giants coach Tom Coughlin.
Barden suffered the concussion late in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
"He complained of a headache and asked if he could be evaluated," Coughlin said. "They sent him for the evaluation yesterday. I think a lot of the symptoms were okay, but there was enough there to slow him down. He is on the (concussion) protocol."
Barden was called for a crucial offensive pass interference call that stalled New York's final drive in Sunday's loss. Lawrence Tynes went on to miss a 54- yard field goal.
"It (occurred) on one of those plays at the end of the game. He said he got a blow to the back of the head," Coughlin said.
In addition, fellow wide receiver Hakeem Nicks -- out the past two weeks with foot and knee injuries -- will also sit out Wednesday's practice.
A season-high 13 players are on the Giants' pre-practice injury report, including newcomers such as guard Chris Snee (hip) and center David Baas (hand).
