Even though they are hurting, there is no quit on the New York Giants.

If there was a predominant theme Monday after their playoffs hopes were jolted by Dallas 24 hours earlier, it was the belief there is still much to achieve despite a 4-7 record with five games left in the regular season.

The way the NFC has gone this season, the players feel anything can happen. If they win out, teams have made the playoffs with a 9-7 record. The Giants did two seasons ago and won a Super Bowl, but they won the NFC East with that record.

While the chance of it happening this year is slim, the players weren't ready to listen to anyone say why bother fighting? The suggestion annoyed them, and the glares emphasized the feeling.
