Garde to leave Lyon at season's end

Lyon, France (SportsNetwork.com) - Lyon manager Remi Garde announced Tuesday that he plans to leave the Ligue 1 outfit at the end of the season.

The 48-year-old signed a one-year deal at Lyon in 2011 before inking a two- year contract in 2012 that ends on June 30, but he has opted not to extend his stay any longer, citing personal reasons for his departure.

Lyon enters the final weekend of the Ligue 1 campaign in fifth place in the table with a chance to qualify for European football for a French record 18th time.
