Toronto, ON – Toronto FC revealed Wednesday that midfielder and club captain Torsten Frings will require arthroscopic surgery on his hip and will be out for the remainder of the 2012 season.
Frings, in his second season with TFC, has started 33 league games, scoring two goals and adding three assists.
