Center Sylvia Fowles of the Chicago Sky and guard/forward Seimone Augustus of the Minnesota Lynx have been named the WNBA's Eastern and Western Conference players of the week, respectively, for games played through August 28.

Fowles grabbed her third weekly award and her second straight with her league- leading 12.7 rebounds per game and .667 field goal percentage, while leading the Sky to a 2-1 record. She has recorded eight straight double-doubles and leads the league in the feat with 20.

Augustus earned her seventh career weekly award, leading the Lynx to a 3-0 record as they clinched first place in the Western Conference last week. She ranked second in the West in scoring (17.0 ppg) during the week and third in field goal percentage (.564).

Other candidates for the weekly honors included Phoenix's Penny Taylor and Diana Taurasi, Seattle's Sue Bird, Tulsa's Sheryl Swoopes and Washington's Crystal Langhorne.
