Clint Trickett, who was a quarterback for the Florida State Seminoles the last two seasons, has announced that he will be transferring to West Virginia for the 2013 season.

The 6-foot-3 signal caller made the announcement via Twitter on Wednesday saying, "It's official, I will finish my academic/athletic career at WVU. This is a dream come true to be playin for the state I love."

Last season Trickett was the backup to E.J. Manuel, who was selected 16th overall in last week's NFL Draft, and threw just 34 passes. Trickett is the son of Florida State assistant head coach Rick Trickett, who is originally from Masontown, WV and served as an assistant head coach for the Mountaineers from 2001-2006.
