Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers signed defenseman Nicklas Grossmann to a multi-year contract extension on Friday.
The Flyers acquired Grossmann from Dallas in February and in 22 games with the Orange and Black, the Swede has collected six assists, one more than he recorded in 52 games with the Stars.
Grossmann, 27, is recovering from a knee injury suffered last Sunday against the Pittsburgh Penguins and is listed as day-to-day.
A shot-blocking specialist, Grossmann has three goals and 44 assists in 355 career games.
