Philadelphia, PA – Philadelphia Flyers forward Danny Briere and defenseman Nicklas Grossmann will be in the starting lineup for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
Both players were injured by Penguins forward Joe Vitale on April 1.
Briere suffered an upper-back contusion late in the third period when he was hit hard by Vitale at center ice and fell backwards after impact.
Grossmann was on the wrong end of a knee-on-knee collision with Vitale in the first period.
